Day 2: Rabat | Meknes | Volubilis | Fez (4hrs)
Our tour gets underway this morning after breakfast when we depart for the administrative capital of Morocco and the country’s second largest city, Rabat. Here we will visit the beautiful Mohamed V Mausoleum – a fine example of modern Alaouite dynasty architecture. The tour then heads for Fez, stopping off en-route at the Roman ruins of Volubilis and the sacred town of Moulay Idriss, where the religion of Islam made its first appearance in Morocco back in 789. We’ll then make the short trip to Meknes (known as the Moroccan Versailles) where we will visit the ancient and atmospheric sites of Bab Mansour and Hari Souani as well as the old traditional medina located there. The day ends as we arrive into the world famous city of Fez.

Day 3: Fez (Private Guided Tour)
Welcome to the city of Fez, often referred to as the ‘Athens of Africa’ or the ‘Mecca of the West’. At over 1200 years old it is the oldest cultural and spiritual city in Morocco and is home to the oldest continuously functioning Madrasa in the world. A UNESCO world heritage site it is also believed to be one of the largest car-free urban areas in the world. We will spend the whole day here exploring the city on a private guided tour with local experts – from the labyrinthine streets of the medina where we can see the many unique craftsmen working, to the Moulay Idriss Mausoleum and the Nejjarine Fountain and many more secrets in-between.
(Breakfast & Lunch included)
Day 4: Ifrane | Midelt | Erfoud (7hrs)
Following breakfast this morning we depart Fez and begin our climb into the fabulous Atlas Mountains. Arriving into Ifrane first (a Moroccan ski-resort) we continue on to Midelt which at over 1500m is one of the highest towns in the country before arriving into Erfoud this evening. Erfoud is renowned for its natural beauty and is a favourite destination for film-makers with many iconic films shot here. Make sure you get some rest tonight in preparation for tomorrow’s Sahara adventure.

Day 5: Ziz Valley | Sahara Desert (3hrs)
This morning our local guide will take you to visit his small village in the Ziz (Tafilalet) Valley where you can enjoy an introduction to the area and a short walk through the tranquil date palms and local farms – this region is Morocco’s largest date-producing region. Following lunch we depart for Merzouga and the Erg Chebbi region of the Sahara where the magic of the desert really comes to life. This spectacular and rustic region is renowned for staggering vistas, dramatic sand-dunes and clear and tranquil night-time skies. This evening we will dine al fresco under the Sahara stars before sleeping in traditional Bedouin-style tents.

Day 6: Rissani | Dades Valley | Skoura (5hrs)
Make sure your camera is at hand this morning to capture the dramatic sunrise across the Sahara before hopping onto a camel for the short ride back to the hotel. We’ll then depart for Tinjedad, passing through Rissani on the way. You can then choose which route you would prefer to take to Skoura – either through the Todra Gorge or Dades Valley – but both offer spectacular views and a great insight into this less-visited region.
